A Story Born at 35,000 Feet
Somewhere in the clouds on September 11th, our founder, Rohit—10 years deep in the health food game—was buried in Sapiens, the book that makes you rethink humankind. Ironic, really. We’re called Homo sapiens—“wise humans.” A bold claim for a species that invented deep-fried butter.
Fast-forward to 3:50 AM, September 12th.
Where do the best ideas happen? in deep meditation? Nope. Try half-asleep on the commode typing gibberish into ChatGPT. By 4:50 AM, with domains claimed, the name was locked in:
Cibus (food)+ Sapiens (wise) - food for the wise (ahem, that’s you!)
"Avoid Packaged Food," Said No Busy Person Ever
Let’s be real—we’d all love to eat fresh, home-cooked food three times a day. But life happens. We’re all busy. Like, "eating-lunch-while-driving" busy or "scrolling-reels-while-attending-Zoom-class" busy.
Instead of ghosting packaged food, we gave it a makeover—junk out, flavour in, and made nutrition non-boring.
We’re not here to chase health trends that age like milk.
